So, Which Is Best? Here Are a Few Tips The easy way to choose is based on practical considerations: Areas around the house: Generally, a finishing mower or flail mower is best for house paddocks.
Both provide a manicured finish. Flail mowers can also be used for other jobs around the farm while a finishing mower can only be used on lawn grass. Pasture Improvement: Flail mowers or mulchers are the best option if you are looking to regenerate your pastures and the overall soil health of your property. They can manage heavy grass and stubble, provide a beautiful finished cut and help improved the overall health of the land. If your budget allows these machines are the perfect solution all round.
Lawn maintenance: To keep your turf looking at its best, the finishing mower is a great option that is competitively priced. Just make sure your blade settings are right for the season and the type of grass being mowed. Log In Become a part of our community! Username or Email Address. Remember Me. Lost your password? Might include some blackberry bushes and thicker bush once or twice and then just keeping grass down. Jun 22, 3. Gator6x4 Veteran Member. I vote for the Flail Mower. The rotary Cutter or Slasher hanging on the back of a tractor can get interesting at times. A Flail Mower gives in my opinion a better cut, does not throw items like a Slasher and is easier to maneuver into tight spots.
Much safer in use on "steeper" ground also in my opinion. Jun 22, Thread Starter 4.
