Can i trust thinkgeek

One of my items was over ordered and I was not getting it. So I was refunded but out a Chistmas present I had checked off a month in advance! Now the monkeys over at think geek were good at appeasing me by promising a gift card after the holidays were over. Well they are over and I have yet to get that gift card even though I have since wrote to them asking about that promise.

They are liars and have the worst customer service. I used to hear the best things about them. If they eventually come through with the promise I may try them again but be weary. So I give them one more star and will also try the site one more time using the gift certificate. I would like to think this is a fluke incident and that ThinkGeek was not prepared for this holidays rush of orders.

Like I said before I had always heard good things about the site before this holiday season. Tip for consumers: If you do order make sure to take advantage of the ups tracking service. If ups says they have not recived your items but Think Geek site states it has shipped from them. Contact Think Geek they have made a mistake. I love the stuff on this site, the site iteself is awesome too; the one thing I have an issue with but I've only ordered once from them, so maybe it was a fluke is that the delivery was sooo slow!

And it wasn't that the delivery METHOD was necessarily slow, it honestly took more than a week from me placing my order a zombie plush doll, a pacifier, a pack of post it notes, and a multitool; nothing super heavy, large, or labor intensive to pack!

Over three weeks from placing order to receiving items! I'm not going to be so quick to order from them again, but the stuff is pretty cool. I guess next year I'll order the day after Thanksgiving and maybe I'll get it in time for Christmas.

I usually buy here, and sometimes I just serf the site to get some inspiration! Great job, guys! If you have a friend who goes banana about devices, new technologies, etc, this is the place for you! Love it so many cool gadgets and gizmos that are must haves for any nerd, decorations that'll ensure nostalgia I recently got a Han solo carpet where he's frozen in carbonite so freaking sweet.

Office life can get redundant, so we like to play pranks on each other sometimes to spice things up. Think Geek has a great "cube warfare" category with a lot of fun office prank stuff.

I have the coolest tesla watch from this site. Check them out. I've been a customer of ThinkGeek for a LONG time, and regularly go back to them for Christmas gifts for those hard-to-buy-for usually male people. Where else could I buy a cake tin in the shape of a dragon sleeping on a clutch of eggs? Or a Christmas tree decoration shaped like a Dalek? The only warning is that as they are in USA, and I'm in Australia, I have to plan my shop weeks in advance to ensure that product availability and postal services result in on-time delivery.

I also stock up my order and get it all in one go to save on postage. It depends on what you plan on buying. If you are buying toys or accessories it's amazing. I had a problem with buying clothes online. I purchased three different shirts through the site, all said they were women's XL. Open the box and boy was I surprised. Two of the shirts were clearly smaller than a women's xl My sister is very tiny and they were snug even on here.

I'd say a women's small maybe. The third shirt was definitely XL width wise, but was very tiny length wise. Customer service wasn't able to tell me why the shirts that all said women's xl were clearly different sizes, but returning them was easy enough. Very annoyed with this company. Could have mentioned the tax cost. I brought item for They have had When contacted they basically said if I refuse delivery item will go back to them and then they not refund me.

You have been warned! This site has the best collection of geeky items to give as gifts or to splurge on yourself. The prices are fairly comparable to the items when I find them at comic or game store. However, their shipping is a little more expensive than I would like and slow to boot. But where else can I buy gifts for the geeks in my life that leaves them actually excited? Tip for consumers: Just leave some extra time for your order to arrive two to three business days later than what was stated on the form and try and shop when they have free shipping sales.

ThinkGeek creates unique products that stimulate the imagination. Fun website with lots of geeky goods for the nerd initiated. You will find things here that won't be on Amazon and are, frankly, cheaper.

It's a busy site though and lots of photos and information that is laid out more like a dictionary than a well-planned out store. But it has your goods and is worth checking out for a fun gift.

Great site and their stuff will keep you laughing non-stop! Whenever I have a hard time trying to find a gift for someone I look to this website since I can always find something for those hard to shop for people! I will never shop from the site again I ordered a series of Christmas presents from the site well in advance of Christmas. They charged my card and then never sent my order. I called to check up on it only a few days before Christmas wondering where was and I found out that the items I had already paid for they have sold to someone else.

So then they told me that they would give me the different items of my choice and overnight the whole order guaranteeing that my entire order will arrive no later than the day before Christmas and then when everything actually shipped lo and behold only half my order shipped as the rest of my order was out of stock.

I personally confirmed on the phone every single item that I ordered availability before I place the order and yet I only get half of the stuff before Christmas so thanks for ruining Christmas this year thank you.

Absolute worst customer service and problem resolution ever. Ordered on the 14th and will not even get my order until the 26th if im lucky.

They never shipped my order , and never contacted me when it was supposedly lost. Good luck calling them either, they dont ever answer. Delivery was available yet they chose not to do it! When i asked to connect me with a supervisor , i was told they wont do live chat. She stated that i need to call in. If they screw up your order, they will not go out of their way one bit to fix it. I've purchased a lot of cool things from here, great site and you can trust it.

Anyone thinking of shopping with thinkgeek. I accidently put my zip code as only 1 number off and within thirty minutes I called customer service and not only can they not change the address, they can't stop the shipment and I just simply have to hope that the items get sent back to them before it'll be sent back to the right address. All the customer service rep would say is "I don't know what to tell you, that really sucks.

Only: "You'll have to wait until the items are returned back to our warehouse, and once the return is processed, we'll give you a free shipping coupon so you don't have to pay shipping again! Hot Topic and Spencers can be a bit expensive, so I always make sure to compare those prices to ThinkGeek!

While I have always loved this site and spend an extraordinary amount of money there they have let me down this year. I order so much from this site that I started early for Christmas so I could buy everything for my son that I wanted to get him. I ordered a Spock tie in September which was a light blue. It was shipped in a cellophane bag and I wrapped it. When it was opened Christmas day it was a dark teal tie not a Spock tie. All I asked for when I wrote to them was an exchange for the correct item.

I was told it fell over 90 days so they could not accept my return even though I was trying to get the correct item not asking for my money back. They said I could review their return policy. I stated they could review the amount of money I spent in the last four months paying attention to the last 90 days and I would ship it all back in returns.

A good business would look at the type of customer you are and note few returns over many years of large orders and try to satisfy the customer They still have the ties so why can't I get the color I ordered?

I thought it was ThinkGeek always offers prompt shipping, and their "caffeinated customer service monkeys" are pleasant and helpful. Plus the site has lots of neat and high-quality stuff, and they're always adding new and awesome things. I'll always shop at this site! I love Thinkgeek. I find their stuff original and funny. Awesome Christmas gifts available for everyone and every wallet! Love love love this site. As soon as I learned my job I figured out a more effective way of running my area and the bosses didn't approve of that.

I tried to improve the speed so I could stay awake! Nice to work for someone that feels like they care. Repairing computers is a passion of mine and it was a great place to pick up some experience and learn some things. I was very sad when he sold. Think geek was a fun workplace and productive. Think geek is a store with merchandise from your favorie movies or cartoons even though tv shows.

Could use better Management. Working at Think Geek was awesome. You meet and work with like minded people who enjoy the same type of hobbies you do.

You learn about other hobbies that you may not have known or liked before and you get a taste of how dedicated those are of their craft. Coworkers we also great to be around as they have the same interest as you. The best part of the job was the people as they made working there much more entertaining.

The hard part was dealing with the change in hours and scheduling. Hours dropped off immediately after Christmas. You were lucky to get 4 hours a week as hobby stores dont generate steady sales like other stores. Which resulted in only Management getting hours. After a while there was no motivation to go to work when you're only getting 4 hours a week.

Management also had infighting within one another. Management also had clear favorites who they would give better times and hours to. The more i worked there the more i wasn't happy. Fun while it lasted though. Pros Long lunches. Fun costumers. Nice stuff. Cons Sketchy Management. Employee discount.

Bad pay. If they allow me to return I would go back. Made sure answer questions help if needed.. Discounts on products. The work wasn't so hard, but it was the fact that we were standing on our feet for 12 hours.
