Jordan also observed that "in , the Irish winner was of that same Celtic sound, so too was the French entry. So "Euphoria" inspiring a dance song the following year is not surprising. In fact, I'm surprised more countries haven't opted for the same sound!
The Cascada investigation is by no means the first time that the German entry has been put under the musical microscope amid accusations of plagiarism. In , the entry from No Angels, "Disappear," almost did just that when it was alleged that the song copied Steffi List's "Break the Silence. Sometimes, however, an accusation of plagiarism has resulted in a happy ending. Whether or not this most recent plagiarism investigation was also prompted by clever PR is unclear.
Likewise, it remains to be seen just how well "Glorious" will fare in the Eurovision final on May 18th. What is clear, however, is the poor placing Cascada managed on the German singles chart: despite the publicity, "Glorious" limped onto the Top at the relatively lowly 36th spot. I think there should be a true winner. You can vote as many times as you want. I know a lot of people were shocked that Cascada was not in the Top And so what if Nat was ahead of the music. Accept it. Nat actually messed up at the final in Germany when they were choosing the song that represents Germany.
I loved it! I actually thought that they were going to win. The crowd went insane with their performance. If anything, Denmark should have been disqualified. I think the song was great and could have done very well, however on the final night it was a complete car crash. It was one of worse performances of the evening on TV. I suspect she would have been mortified watching it back.
But there is always a risk with live performances! It … Read more ». I do not get why Germany failed, Cascada have a big fanbase in UK but they received nul! Even Nordic countries ignored the song and Suisse gave only 1 point wtf..
Eurovision Mafia. That was released before the contest, not as you state, at the end of this month. And why would we rigg it? We had in the bag anyway! The format allowed international Eurofans way to much control of the national final, and as a result, Cascada won on fame and a decent, but not spectacular, song. Many better songs were overlooked Blitzkids mvt. I am NOT going to sign the petition, because this new voting system is perfect!
It does something about diaspora voting. So, this is the perfect mix! Last year Loreen won with a songs that actually sounded quite the same. I so agree with the outcome of the night! It definitely was the most energetic performance of the night. I mean just listen to that crowd! Cascada received the most support in the arena than anyone else that night.
Everyone I know was in shock — the votes were off. No one expected her to win, but we expected her to be in the top Cascada not a big name? Tiggeh: Essentially correct. Natalie was ahead of the beat for the first minute, but that only added to their problems. I must admit, this was a good song. William Lee Adams: The charm that is being felt in the hall not always translates to charm felt by TV viewers. And as states and countries around the globe ease restrictions in the aftermath of the pandemic, tour and festival announcements are barreling out.
I love it," Horler gushed. I would not. I would probably choose the wrong one. She recalls a moment where she played the track for her friends in her car before it was released anywhere and said that it had to be a success.
Cascada got together with their team and label for an album listening party for the Evacuate The Dancefloor album in Cologne, Germany prior to its release.
Its titular track opens with resounding synth chords that blast in your face. Horler and the team knew right away it was going to be a smashing success. I remember, before it was released anywhere, putting it on in my car and playing it for my mates.
I love this so much. This has to be successful. Thankfully everyone felt the same, so it was picked as the first release of that album and it was quite the success. Except for performing live and being the face of Cascada, Horler is much more removed from the songwriting and production processes. Her uncle is a jazz pianist. Albin Olsson.
