It is close to the right most ignition coil electrical connector and just below the right rear corner of the black plastic engine cover. The exposed part of the old valve is red plastic. That additional pressure can force oil past seals and gaskets. Clean it yourself by immersing it in carburetor cleaner. There should be no gummy deposits or discoloration on a clean valve.
If your PCV valve must be replaced, buy a new valve, remove the old one, and insert the new one in its place. If the PCV valve is stuck open, the excess vapors and oil droplets can quickly foul the spark plugs.
